MANICS EQUIPMENT FOR AUCTION IN SUPPORT OF HAITI

As you already know a major earthquake struck Haiti this month.  Oxfam and Glastonbury are having an online auction for Haiti  to supply aid and give support to the victims.  The Manics have donated some of their stuff to the auction to help raise funds for this cause. If you fancy a piece of Manics history and want to help a great cause in doing so then the links below is where each auction is.  Happy bidding!

Hand Decorated Fender Telecoustic - Hand decorated by Nicky Wire and signed by all the band.

Signed Amp - Customer made for James and signed by all the band.

Red Fender Tornado - Used on 'Masses Against the Classes' and 'Know Your Enemy'.

Wow ! just checked on Ebay and every instrument got a very reasonable bid. The hand-crafted Fender ended with the highest price ;-)
Congratulations to the Manics and the lucky buyers for helping Haiti !!

15 years & so much tragedy since - especially in pointless wars & young people taking their own lives. It is comforting to me that (according to Nicky) Richey's family have a deep faith which helps them a lot. As far as I am aware the same can be said of the family of the late Lisa Left-Eye Lopes - killed in a car crash aged 30. TLC & Manics are both great bands from VERY different backgrounds.

Life really is a gift.

Happy Birthday lunagirl.

Sounds good - like the other lady said I certainly haven't got enough spare money to bid but I have been supporting Care Intl since James' concert. Have donated some money but the constant demand for help can be quite tiring especially if you haven't got much yourself. Haven't yet got round to the 'building a school in Africa' that is almost par for the course for the middle classes now but I guess there's still time.

Hope they'll make the most of it !
BTW, I didn't know where to post this, but as some of you may know, the writer JD Salinger passed away. He was one of the many writers who had influence on the Manics. So I'd just wished to let you folks know about the sad news.

Well done, guys.
By the way, that Fender Telecoustic shows us that Nicky is quite a gifted person.

Good luck to those placing bids

I'd love that Orange amp seen on stage numerous times and in a few videos, but like the vast majority of Manics fans I don't have several hundred quid (or a grand??) spare. Of course, that's not the point. My house hasn't been destroyed and my
family are okay. So... getting things in perspective... this is a great idea.
