Nicky_Wires_Dyson, The reason others and I are "moaning" about the signatures on their copy is because they are printed copies. The promoters by using the words and I quote "Nicky, James and Sean have signed a limited number of the Deluxe 2CD edition and these signed versions are strictly limited, so be quick" obviously led myself and others to believe that our copies would be signed by the band individually, just the same as if we were queuing in a music store. If your copy is real then I want to know why others and myself have been sent printed copies.
As ShadyAde has said "the fact that they are printed makes them pretty much valueless to collectors". I for one am an avid collector of anything produce by the Manics and would rather have waited in line and had my copy signed individually.
It looks pretty signed to me... I don't think it's printed. It's a bit annoying that Bag Lady isn't on the SE though, who can afford to buy the regular version as well?
Mine is signed, I can see the pen indent in the paper, to tell you the truth, I couldnt care less if it arrived wrapped in cling film, its the best album in years..
I also feel a bit let down that the signed copy is printed not what i was expecting as the wording made me think it would be personaly signed copy .apart from that its FANTASTIC !
I got my signed copy of Journal today, and it is amazing. I think that they have done Richey's lyrics proud. I don't know what everyone is monaing about regarding the signed copies - I have had numerous albums signed by the band in the past and Journal is no exception to that. My copy is real, not 'photocopied' signature. Yeah Bag Lady isn't on it, but I can't say it spoils the overall album - take it for what it is - a masterpiece.
Lonely Wreckage, it would be fantastic if they did produce a book with the remaining lyrics and the rest of Richey's journal in a book - now that would be exciting!
