I agree with Theo that the Richey questions were so predictable and boring. No disrespect to Richey, but why go on about that, at every interview? Richey himself wouldn't want that. It's like the lads from New Order when they were a-l-w-a-y-s asked about how they felt when Ian Curtis died. You could just hear the silent sighs of "not that f#&^#ng question again!!!"

Great interview. I loved hearing James say that he was overwhelmed by the Havana Cuba gig with Castro in attendance, so much so that he looked in the concert photos like "Forrest Gump in the White House scenes". Great sense of humor! I only wish they hadn't poo-pooed Lifeblood. I love that album but I feel like the band often get cornered into saying that the record was no good b/c it didn't sound like The Manics...

Great versions some of the best songs on JfPL, thanks so much! (Also cool to see a photo of a young Ian McCulloch on the studio wall)

I just got back from the San Francisco show. Beautifully and passionately played, lads! The setlist: -Motorcycle Emptiness -No Surface All Feeling -Peeled Apples -Your Love Alone... -Tristessa -Jackie Collins XQT -Let Robeson Sing -FASTER -Everything Must Go -This Joke Sport Severed -Despair to Where (Nicky dedicated this song to San Francisco's renowned City Lights Bookstore) -If You Tolerate this...
-This is Yesterday - Masses vs Classes (both of these were James solo on acoustic guitar)
-Send Away the Tigers -You Stole the Sun... -All or Nothing/Motown Junk -Me and Stephen Hawking -Little Baby Nothing -You Love Us -Design for Life
Will post more observations later. Let me just enjoy these last few waking moments of music ringing in my ears before I get back to dirty dishes and real life...
