Last night James, Nicky and Sean were honoured with the MOJO Maverick Award, presented to them by Duff McKagan of Velvet Revolver/Guns & Roses. The award was in recognition of the album Journal For Plague Lovers and the band's career to date. Click here for the full list of winners.

The Tour will continue - Message from Nicky

Hello everyone,

I would just like to apologise for the gig last night in Llandudno. I am trying to nurse a prolapsed disc through the tour and last night it went into spasm on stage. This made it virtually impossible for me to move, let alone jump. I desperately want to carry on the tour but it will mean a combination of standing still, sitting down on stage, back braces and painkillers. As you know standing still is utterly alien to me on stage I don’t want any sympathy but hopefully this will explain my lack of movement and general mood.

A Manic Street Preachers documentary entitled 'Shadows & Words' will be broadcast on Channel 4 this weekend. Tune in at 00:10 on Saturday 16th May to watch the band talk to John Niven about the inspiration behind their new album Journal For Plague Lovers. There will be a news piece with a preview on the 7pm Channel 4 news tonight.

The deluxe album includes a second disc of the original demo recordings and is all packaged in a hardback book featuring a 36-page booklet of Richard Edwards' original lyrics and artwork.
